Dish Network - the Very Basis Troubleshooting You Should Know

So what will you do when you palpate a technical problem with your dish network? Problems such as snowy screen, unstable signal receive, Tv blackout, etc. There are times when you are alone and these unforeseen problems come out from no way. Argghh.. Disturbing my precious high definition crystal clear television moment! What will you do with your dish network then? Smash your receiver? Break your Tv?

Before you do that, try out these few easy steps first if you still want to make it on time on your popular show! Else, just go on to do what you plan to do.

1-800-333-Dish (3474) is the palpate number of Dish Network technical sustain team. Just give them a call and they will try their best to fix your problem. However, it's recommended for you to try fixing it out before calling the tech support. Below are checklists on what you should do.

  • Firstly, reset your receiver by pressing and holding the Front Panel Power button on your satellite receiver for 10 seconds. Your receiver will reset and return to normal within a few minutes. This is to set the receiver to default setting in case you have made some unnecessary setting changes.

  • Secondly, check that your Tv is set to channel 3 or 4. If your remote control is identified by a blue number 2, also try channel 60 or 73.

  • Thirdly, make sure the receiver is continuously connected to a working phone line. Without the phone line, receiver is unable to report with the dish.

  • Fourthly, check out the low Battery indicator on your Tv screen and be sure to replace the Batteries in your remote control as necessary. We will in effect miss this part as this seldom happens still it's an important step.

  • Fifthly, check the dish covering your house either there is anything that blocking your satellite signals (tree branches, snow, etc). Obstacles always cause snowy screen so be sure your dish is free from those things.
  • With these 5 easy steps, you should be able to fix some of the problems! If these 5 steps don't help at all, please palpate the Dish Network technical support. Please do not try removing neither any hardware nor the dish itself. Do not try to peep inside what's wrong as it's dangerous. Security always come first.
